Whenever I paint this view I am not looking for a direct representation of what I see, but more of how I feel. My intention for this piece is to lead the viewer to a feeling of repose, a place to rest from the noise of the outside world. The soft purples and dusky pinks in the sky are harmonised with bands of cream. The contrast of the deep turquoise sea brings the eye down to the shore line. I have loved getting lost in my process of imprinting different textures into the paint that has resulted in inobtrusive patterns that entice you to come closer and find joy and peace in the rich surface textures. I have hand painted the frame in a deep aubergine colour that sets off the painting beautifully as in the pictures.
UV varnished and buffed with a cold wax finish.

Unframed is 20 cm x 20 cm. £120 The sides are painted dark blue.
Framed is 23cm x 23cm. £155 in a hand painted dark aubergine tray frame. It will come ready to hang, strung and screwed in place.
