When out walking I was keen to respond to the calm quietness of this moment, seen in the peaceful sky and the reflections from the flooded fields. I have used a limited colour palette of alizarin crimson, dusky pinks, rusty ochres and soft greens to recreate the warm glow of joyousness that I felt. The landscape is made from layers of thin and opaque paint, with beautiful patterns and surface textures that can be reminiscent of another place entirely.

I have hand painted the frame in grey with a touch of phthalo blue that sets off the painting beautifully as in the pictures.

UV varnished with a cold wax buffed finish

Unframed is 50 cm x 50cm x 2cm. The sides are painted black. £450.00

Framed is 53cm x 53cm x 3cm in a hand painted grey blue tray frame. It will come ready to hang, strung and screwed in place. £490.00
