Whenever I paint this view I am not looking for a direct representation of what I see, but more of how I feel. My intention for this piece is to lead the viewer to a feeling of quiescence, tranquility and catharsis. The serene light greys and dusky pinks in the sky are harmonised with the dark purple and peach colours of the shore. I have loved getting lost in my process of imprinting different textures into the paint that has resulted in inobtrusive patterns that entice you to come closer and find joy and peace in the rich surface textures. I have hand painted the frame in a deep aubergine colour that sets off the painting beautifully as in the pictures.
UV varnished and buffed with a cold wax finish.

Unframed is 30 cm x 30 cm. £240 The sides are painted dark blue.
Framed is 34cm x 34cm. £280 in a hand painted dark aubergine tray frame. It will come ready to hang, strung and screwed in place.
