‘Calm Waters’ is inspired from the view across the sea from the Isle of Arran.
Standing on the shoreline I can feel my mind quietening, coming back to a more balanced and happier level. I love letting a feeling of peace wash over me, creating a stillness within, much the same as when I practice meditation.
My intention for this painting is to bring ease and create a space to rest and reset, without any distractions or noise.
Cool blues and purples in the calm water harmonise with the warmer creams and dusky pinks in the softly glowing sky. The frame is hand painted in a light grey with a hint of green that sets off the painting beautifully as in the pictures.
UV varnished.
